Aida Najaflou - Standing Firm for Christ in the Midst of Trial
You know, as I look at the Scriptures, I see that following Jesus has always come with a cost. The Lord never promised us an easy road; He promised us Himself.

You know, folks, life can get pretty tough sometimes. The trials come rolling in, one after another, and you wonder, "Lord, how much more?" I've been there. My wife and I have three grown sons, all on the autism spectrum.
You know, folks, when I hear news like this today, my heart aches. Just yesterday, March 19, three young Iranian men, Saleh Mohammadi, who was only 19, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, 21, were hanged publicly in Qom. Publicly! Can you imagine? Just out in the open for everyone to see.
Well, folks. As I opened my Bible this morning to Psalm 139. You know, I've been thinking a lot lately about what God says about life in the womb. David writes there in verse 13-14: "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." Oh, what a beautiful picture! God Himself is the One knitting that little life together, every detail, every heartbeat, from the very beginning.
Foks, as I turn to Genesis chapter 6 in my Bible this morning, because that's where the Lord has my heart this week. You know, Jesus said in Matthew 24:37, "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." And folks, if we're paying attention, we can see those very conditions all around us right now.
Matthew 24:37 (NKJV) "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."
Now, Jesus is giving His disciples the signs of His coming and the end of the age. He doesn't want us to be in the dark; He wants us to be ready. And He points back to the days of Noah.
A Look at Scripture, History, and Honouring Godly Mothers
Well, folks, here we are in the UK with Mothering Sunday coming around again, cards, flowers, family dinners, all that good stuff. And as believers who love the Word of God and want to stick close to what the Bible actually says, we've got to ask ourselves honestly: Is this thing biblical? Does the Lord tell us to set aside a special day like this?
You know, folks, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Paul tells us that in 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, and it's a reminder that God cares about every part of us, body, soul, and spirit. He hasn't left us to wander through sickness alone.
