Hello and a warm welcome to Born Again Christians.
My name is Peter, and I’m writing to you from Scotland. I was trained to minister and preach through the Proclamation Trust with Cornhill Scotland. For more than twenty years it has been the deep burden of my heart to dedicate this site to clear, faithful Bible teaching — media and video messages that point people to Jesus Christ and the truth of His Word.
What does it mean to be born again?
It is not a physical rebirth. It is a spiritual one.
Before we come to Christ we are spiritually dead in our sins. Every one of us is a sinner by nature. Even our best efforts at being “good” fall short of the perfect standard God requires for eternal life with Him. No works of our own, no self-righteousness, can ever open the door of heaven.
Under the Old Covenant, God’s people could not enter His presence freely. They lived under the Law and depended on repeated animal sacrifices and the ministry of the priests to atone for sin.
Then Jesus Christ came. On the cross at Calvary He paid the full price for our sin — once and for all. When He shed His blood in obedience to the Father, He opened a new and living way into God’s presence. Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man. The moment we acknowledge His sacrifice and receive Him as our personal Lord and Saviour, we are covered by the blood He poured out for us. In that moment we are born again.
Can anyone be born again?
Absolutely. The Bible — God’s written Word to us — declares it plainly:
“For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’”
(Romans 10:13, NKJV)
Becoming a born-again believer is simply this: admitting our sin, turning from it, and trusting that only through Christ can we be made holy and pure before a holy God. Only then can we rest in the unshakeable assurance that we are eternally saved.
You may have arrived here out of curiosity, by chance while browsing, or because the Holy Spirit has drawn you. Whatever brought you, I pray you will stay a while. Read the messages. Listen to the Bible teaching. Let the Word of God speak to your heart.
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek Him.
Peter
