A Word of Caution from the ScripturesFolks, we live in days when many voices are speaking in the name of the Lord. Some of them are very popular, very dramatic, and draw large crowds.Yet the Word of God is clear: we are not to believe every spirit, but we are to test the spirits to see whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1).Paul tells us to mark those who cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine we have learned, and to avoid them (Romans 16:17).One of the voices that has risen quickly in recent years is that of Kathryn Krick, who calls herself an apostle and leads a church in Los Angeles. Her videos of dramatic deliverances go viral. People fall, shake, and cry out. Crowds gather. Many sincere believers are watching and wondering, so letβs take a careful look at what the Scriptures say and measure these things by the Word of God.Who Is Kathryn Krick?Kathryn Krick came out of an acting and reality-television background before entering ministry. She presents herself as a modern-day apostle with special authority to cast out demons and to impart anointing. She often speaks of her βspiritual father,β a man from Tanzania named GeorDavie. Followers have been heard declaring that they would be nothing without her, and that she holds unique spiritual βkeys.βThat kind of language should already make us pause. What Do We See Happening? In her services we see people, adults and even children, collapsing and convulsing in ways that look very much like seizures. These manifestations are presented as the casting out of demons. Now, the Bible does record Jesus and the apostles casting out demons. But look carefully at those accounts, when Jesus spoke, the demons left, and there was order and peace. There was no prolonged chaos, no theatrical display that went on and on.The fruit of the Spirit is self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33).When the same kind of dramatic physical manifestations appear again and again, and when children are involved, we need to be very careful.Especially for parents of vulnerable young people, those who are nonverbal or autistic, these kinds of environments can be dangerous.Protecting the little ones is not a lack of faith. It is wisdom and love. The Matter of Money and the AnointingOne of the clearest red flags, I see commonly is the linking of spiritual power with money, where there are gatherings where the βanointingβ is declared to be freely given, and then almost immediately the people are urged to sow a financial βseedβ so they can keep that anointing and receive more.Folks, that is the very error of Simon Magus in Acts chapter 8, where Simon saw the power of the Holy Spirit and offered money so that he might have the same ability.Peterβs reply was strong: βYour money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!β (Acts 8:20).The church has called that sin βsimonyβ ever since. The gifts of God are free. They are not for sale.Loyalty to a PersonalityWhen people begin to speak of a leader as if she alone holds the keys, or as if they would be nothing without her, we have moved away from the simplicity of devotion to Christ.Healthy ministry always points people to Jesus, not to dependency upon a man or a woman. The true shepherd feeds the flock with the Word of God.He does not build a following around himself.A Simple TestHere is a simple way to test any ministry:Β
Dawn (the Lovesick Scribe) looks at a recent service where a mother publicly cried out that her child had not been delivered after Krickβs ministry. She examines how Krick responded to that mother, and then compares both the incident and the overall teaching given that night with Scripture.Β

It examines Kathryn Krickβs mentor and self-proclaimed spiritual father, the Tanzanian prophet GeorDavie. The creator shows footage of GeorDavie βimparting the anointingβ to large crowds while claiming it is a free gift, then immediately follows it with clips of Krick urging people to give large βseedβ offerings so they can keep and increase that anointing. The video labels this practice as the biblical sin of simony (selling spiritual gifts for money) and argues that both GeorDavie and Krick are grifters exploiting people rather than genuine Christian ministers.

Allie examines Kathryn Krickβs background (former aspiring actress and reality-TV participant), her self-proclaimed apostleship, viral theatrical βexorcismsβ and deliverances, money-focused βseedβ teachings, and close ties to her controversial mentor GeorDavie. She compares Krickβs practices and claims to Scripture and teachings from voices like Voddie Baucham and John MacArthur, concluding that the signs and wonders raise serious red flags of manipulation and false teaching rather than genuine biblical ministry.

Steve and Paulette review clips of Kathryn Krick (the female βapostleβ) and her followers. They show people from different countries declaring intense loyalty to her, saying they would be nothing without her, that she alone holds the βkeys for America,β and praising her in cult-like language. The hosts call it a cult, highlight her background as a former aspiring actress, link her to her spiritual father George Davey, and contrast everything with clear Bible verses about false teachers, women in authority, and genuine apostles. They warn that her followers are in serious spiritual danger by putting her above Scripture.

The video βThe Two-Sided Mouth of Isaiah Saldivar!β from the Messed Up Church channel criticises Isaiah Saldivar for inconsistency. It shows him listing signs of a cult and talking about Katherine Crick (because his audience demanded it), while admitting her spiritual father is a warlock involved in witchcraft and abuse β yet refusing to call Crick herself a false teacher. The video also points out that Saldivar previously platformed her, later quietly removed the videos without warning people, and claims he doesnβt have time to address others. The creator argues this shows hypocrisy and a lack of biblical leadership.

Today, friends stood outside the church we attend and watched and sent a video of a Shia Muslim march in Glasgow. They were remembering Hassan and Hussain, the grandsons of Muhammad. The scene was striking, with many dressed in black, chanting together. It looked intense. My heart was stirred with both concern and compassion. It is such a shame they do not know Jesus. In these processions, especially during the month of Muharram, many of them perform what is called matam, rhythmic chest-beating as an act of mourning for Husayn. For Shia believers, Karbala is a moral compass. Chest beating serves as a physical commitment to the values Husayn died for, including dignity, faith, and the fight against tyranny.Seeing it today reminded me how sincere people can be in their religion and yet still not know the Lord Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the Scriptures.A Christian ResponseAs believers who love the Lord and hold fast to the NKJV, we do not respond to this with fear or anger. We respond with the same burden the Apostle Paul had when he said, βI have great sorrow and continual grief in my heartβ for those who do not yet know Christ (Romans 9:2).Our Lord Jesus Himself wept over Jerusalem. We ought to have tender hearts toward our Muslim neighbours, both Shia and Sunni, who show respect for Jesus (called Isa in the Quran) but do not know Him as the Bible truly presents Him.Common Ground and Important DifferencesA good way to open a conversation is to begin with the respect they already have for Jesus. The Quran speaks of His virgin birth and His miracles. But the Bible takes us much further. Let me share seven key areas, straight from scripture, I'm using the NKJV today, placed alongside common Islamic teachings:Β 1.Β Β Virgin BirthBible: βBehold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,β which is translated, βGod with us.β (Matthew 1:23)Islamic view: Strongly agrees ~ Jesus was born of the virgin Mary.2.Β Β MiraclesBible: βAnd Jesus went about all Galileeβ¦ healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.β (Matthew 4:23)Islamic view: Agrees ~ Isa performed miracles by permission of Allah.3.Β Β MessiahBible: βJesus said to her, βI who speak to you am He.ββ (John 4:26)Islamic view: Accepts Jesus as the Messiah, but sees Muhammad as the final prophet.4.Β Β Divinity / Son of GodBible: βIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was Godβ¦ And the Word became fleshβ¦β (John 1:1, 14)Islamic view: It strongly rejects that Jesus is the Son of God or divine.5.Β Β CrucifixionBible: βAnd when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Himβ¦β (Luke 23:33)Islamic view: Teaches it only appeared that Jesus was crucified; He was not.6.Β Β ResurrectionBible: βHe is not here; for He is risen, as He said.β (Matthew 28:6)Islamic view: That Jesus was raised to heaven without dying on the cross and He will return later.7.Β Β SalvationBible: βFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.β (John 3:16)Islamic view: Salvation comes through submission to Allah, good deeds, and following the prophets ~ not through the atoning death of Jesus.Β These are not small differences. They touch the very heart of who Jesus is and what He has done for us at the cross. My Encouragement to YouI have been
preaching through the Gospel of John
, and I cannot tell you how clear it is. Jesus is the eternal Word who became flesh. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He is the only way to the Father. If you see these processions in your town or have Muslim neighbours, pray for them.Ask the Lord to open doors for real friendship. Start with the honour they already give to Jesus, then gently point them to the full revelation of Christ in the Scriptures. It is a shame they do not yet know Him ~ but the same Lord who saved me can save them.Let us be faithful witnesses, full of grace and truth, as we wait for His return.

Ten years ago Gary Morgan was caught red-handed and bad pastors covered up for him. Solid evidence of fake prophecy and even email fraud. But he got away with it and the godly Christians who tried to call him out were vilified and abused by their pastors. Bill Johnson knew about Gary Morgan and still went and did ministry with him. Che Ahn had endorsed Gary as a great prophet like Shawn Bolz (I'm not making this up). Yet, Che's system of accountability not only failed to protect people from Gary, leaders in his network attacked the only people calling for him to be dealt with biblically.
This video will have the evidence, and I mean a TON of evidence, showing not only that Gary is guilty but that other pastors have been lying in order to protect him. I pray this video vindicates Nathaniel and Hayley from the lies that have been told about them for the past ten years. I also pray that it rightfully exposes not only Gary Morgan but the people who have lied to protect him. People like Peter McHugh, who I confronted on video and caught in several lies.
The broader Charismatic church needs reform and a renewed commitment to truth and biblical handling of the gifts. I pray this video helps make that a reality.
Dear Charismatic brothers and sisters of mine,
I know that my name is mud in many of your circles now. I know that I can be seen as a wrecking ball, meddler, accuser of the brethren, or otherwise someone who has evil motives, has "gone too far," or just isn't doing this right. I just want you to know that do this because I believe in you. Please prove me right.
