Last night I was watching away on Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram, my eyes glued to the screen in the wee hours, feeling the weight of what’s happening in Israel. Their Operation Rising Lion ~ Am KeLavi, meaning “Nation Like a Lion” from Numbers 23:24 ~ has walloped Iran’s nuclear sites and IRGC bigwigs. It’s got me thinking of Psalm 83, with nations ganging up on God’s people. As folks with a heart for the Lord and Israel, let’s dive into this story, see what’s what, and pray hard, deeply.

Israel Risin’ Like a Fierce Lion

Numbers 23:24 (NKJV) says, “Look, a people rises like a lioness, and lifts itself up like a lion; it shall not lie down until it devours the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.” That’s Israel right now, roaring through Operation Rising Lion, launched during the night, I think Israel is two hours ahead of us Scots, making it June 13th. They’ve battered Iran’s nuclear sites, Natanz, Khondab, and Khorramabad, giving their uranium-making a right good skelpin.

Iranian telly admitted Natanz took a few hits, though they’re not saying how bad. They also took out IRGC Commander Hossein Salami and Mohammad Bagheri, plus some nuclear scientists. This bold move shows Israel acting as the “lion” God declared, refusing to back down.

A Psalm 83 Coalition?

Psalm 83:1-5 (NKJV) cries, “Do not keep silent, O God! … For behold, Your enemies make a tumult … They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’” Sounds like Iran and its cronies, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, stirring up a coalition to wipe Israel out. Iran’s got enough uranium for six or seven nukes, says the IAEA, and that’s a pure scunner. Operation Rising Lion feels like Israel giving them a skelp to stop this Psalm 83-style gang-up. Maybe it’s not the full prophecy yet, but it’s got that vibe.

The Deep Site and B-2 Bombers

There’s talk on Telegram about a “deep site”, likely Fordow, Iran’s nuclear hidey-hole under a big mountain, needing American B-2 bombers with massive bunker-busters. No word says B-2s were used, mind; Israel’s F-35s and F-15s did the job, backed by Yank bombs and THAAD kit. Fordow’s still a mystery, but Natanz got a thorough going over. Amir Tsarfati says these sites are buried deep, but Israel’s aim is true, maybe with God’s hand guiding them.

Iran’s Comeback and the Real Fight

Iran has flown over 100 drones at Israel, but the IDF’s swats them like midges. Their defences are knackered, and their pals, Hamas, Hezbollah, Assad, are on their last legs, nowhere to be seen, as Tsarfati’s been saying.

This fight’s not just tanks and jets, it’s spiritual. Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) tells us, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers.” Iran’s out to scupper God’s plan for Israel, but Romans 11:26 (NKJV) promises, “All Israel will be saved.” We’ve got to pray for Israel, and for folk suffering’ nearby, like Syrian Christians and Alawites caught in the chaos

My Prayer for Israel

As believers, we’re told to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:6, NKJV). Operation Rising Lion shows Israel standing tall, but there’s more of a stoor coming’ with Iran’s drones and global blether against Israel, like Qatar with Israel’s owning nukes.

Let’s keep our heads, praying Numbers 23:24 and Psalm 83. Follow Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram (@beholdisraelchannel) or his YouTube for the latest, and don't fall for dodgy mainstream media from BBC, AP, etc.

Get your church and Christian mates and pray together, trusting Psalm 121:4 (NKJV): “He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”

Prayer Points:

  • Keep Israel’s IDF and folk safe, Lord.
  • Give wisdom to Israel’s leaders in this war.
  • Bring peace to Jerusalem and those suffering on both sides.
  • Help us discern and separate truth from speculation.

Let’s stand with Israel, pray like we’re singing a Psalm, even reading through the whole book and trust God’s plan.
