Yet, recent news about solar geoengineering, experiments to dim the sun to fight climate change, stirs an unease in me. From the UK’s £50 million plan to Bill Gates’ funding, these human interventions feel hinky, especially when tied to figures like Anthony Fauci and global vaccine efforts.
Dr. John Campbell, a trusted voice, warns of risks to food production, while RFK Jr. offers hope to expose the truth. As born-again believers, we must test these plans against God’s Word (1 John 4:1), guarding His creation (Genesis 1:26-28).
What Is Solar Geoengineering?
Solar geoengineering, or solar radiation management (SRM), involves spraying particles (like sulphur dioxide) into the atmosphere or brightening clouds to reflect sunlight and cool the Earth. However, if something goes wrong, it could cause breathing difficulties.
The UK’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA) plans to spend £50 million on small-scale trials, announced in April 2025. Bill Gates has funded similar research since 2007, backing Harvard’s SCoPEx project to test aerosols.
While aimed at reducing climate change (e.g., 2023’s record heat), SRM risks disrupting rainfall, harming crops, and causing “termination shock” if stopped abruptly.
In Scotland, no experiments occur, per 2024 government statements, but the global push feels intrusive.

On the Parliamentarian YouTube channel, Lee Anderson exposed Ed Miliband’s plan, which they couldn’t understand as Ed promotes solar power and then wants to block the sun. I find this so troubling.
Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci: A “Hinky” Influence
Bill Gates’ role feels suspicious. His £4.6 million funding for Harvard’s geoengineering and his April 22, 2025, 10 Downing Street visit, days before ARIA’s announcement, suggest influence.
His COVID-19 vaccine funding, pushing mandates, deepens distrust, as it feels like control over God’s design (Psalm 139:14).
Anthony Fauci, who led the U.S. vaccine push, is a source of concern for some Christians due to shifting COVID guidance and support for mandates. Proverbs 29:2 warns, “When the wicked rule, the people groan.” Their secular plans risk hubris, as Job 38:4-11 asks who dares control creation.
RFK Jr.: A Prayer for Truth
As U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary (confirmed February 2025), RFK Jr. offers hope. His book The Real Anthony Fauci accuses Gates and Fauci of profiteering, resonating with our scepticism.
He has questioned vaccine safety and may examine their effects, yet his own misinformation (e.g., links between vaccines and autism) necessitates careful judgment.
Psalm 37:5-6 promises God will reveal truth: “He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn.” We pray RFK Jr. exposes any “hinky” agendas, but 1 Timothy 2:1-2 urges us to pray for all leaders to act justly.
Climate Change and Christian Stewardship
Some, like Elon Musk, downplay climate urgency, while Donald Trump calls it a “hoax.” Yet, rising temperatures (NASA: 2023 hottest year) harm God’s creation. Geoengineering, like covering UK farmland with solar panels, risks food security, clashing with Deuteronomy 8:10’s call to honour God’s gifts.
As stewards, we must balance care for creation with trust in God’s sovereignty (Psalm 46:10). Human plans, from SRM to vaccines, must not eclipse Isaiah 55:8-9: “My thoughts are not your thoughts.”

These “hinky” interventions, geoengineering, elite influence, and vaccine mandates, challenge our faith. Revelation 11:18 warns against “destroying the earth,” urging us to test human plans (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
