Last night ~ wee hours here in Scotland ~ I couldn’t sleep, stirring to watch Cross Examined. I listened to a powerful Q&A from Western Carolina University honouring Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, who was taken from us too soon.

Our church’s nursery, E.P.I.C. (Encouraging Parents In Christ), opened in January in Rutherglen, Glasgow, and is flourishing! With dedicated staff, excellent facilities, and joyful children and parents, it’s a cherished community hub grounded in traditional Christian values.

Hey, folks, my heart’s heavy today. I heard about the tragic murder of Iryna Zarutska and it broke my heart, a 23-year-old Ukrainian lassy who fled the war in her homeland, only to have her life taken away on a train journey in Charlotte, North Carolina. Man, that just hits you hard, doesn’t it?

As a Born-Again Christian from Helensburgh, Scotland, I was moved by the film, Jesus Freaks (2024), directed by Nina May. It really set my heart ablaze. You can watch the movie here https://www.jesusfreaksmovie.com/

The film was shot over 13 days in Florida and Virginia, beautifully capturing the 1973 Jesus Movement’s Holy Spirit fire at Stetson University. It was created as a birthday gift for Joanna’s husband, with support from local churches that reflected this heartfelt grassroots passion. Although it is a raw and genuine movie, the Holy Spirit had other plans for how it would be used.
